IRIS AMBER GREEN

Price: From $3.00 to $14.00
Iris Amber Green #1

Some find this reduction color a little fussy. It's one of those you either love or hate. If worked into the center of your bead and combined with some silver, you can get some rich green boro tones as shown in the bead set by Lisa Jordon. Lisa used a gather of Iris Amber layered with silver and encased in clear. The gather was then pulled into a stringer and laid over a base of more silver foil and black beads.

When left on the surface and reduced (more propane, less oxygen) then caramel brown metallic colors emerge. Use sparingly since it darkens after annealing.

Use a non-reactive, neutral base glass such as clear. Avoid Moretti Ivory, it's too reactive.
