KING'S ROBE

One of my favorites. The perfect union of pink to violet to deep purple in a rich blend of opaques and transparents. It leans toward a cool color range and is perfect year round.

Use a steady neutral flame with this blend, not a propane rich reduction flame.

This blend is very easy to work with, both on the surface or encased.

A little bit of silver foil, asshown with the paddle on the right, will reveal a hint of yellow gold, where the silver comes in contact with the frit.

Avoid using Ivory as a base with this blend, which tends to favor the clear or pale, non-reactive base glasses best.
